Welcome

I am a Swedish/American artist based in Los Angeles, whose mission in life is to leave the world a little brighter. As a firm believer in the healing power of color, I create highly chromatic, large-scale oil paintings that swallow the viewer in vibrancy.

Color provokes a psychic vibration. Color hides a power still unknown but real, which acts on every part of the human body.

Nature and music will forever be my muses. I am my happiest in the forest, on the beach or kayaking in the sea. I believe that nature is the answer to almost all of our problems. My paintings are in large a love-letter to mother nature. If I can engulf the viewer in nature’s blissful peace, then I have been successful.

Given the large-scale of my paintings, my process is very labor and time intensive. Some paintings have been finished in crazed stints of nonstop painting over a few days, but the majority take months and even years.

I work intuitively, without a proper plan and instead let my paintbrush guide me. The focus is always on essence rather than attempting to recreate nature’s perfection. My abstract, hazy works are a nod to life’s impermanence and constant state of change. They are characterized by loud bursts of color and movement, loose compositions, and strokes that look as though they might drip off the page.

The discerning viewer will find symbols hidden throughout my work. Discrete animal totems and messages are layered in, inviting the viewer to discover something new with each new look. I try to capture a little piece of the universe’s magic in every piece I create.

I believe the world is incomprehensibly beautiful — an endless prospect of magic and wonder.
